Monday Night Music
January 10, 2005 ushered in a new era at the Bethesda Ruritan Club. We started hosting a Community Event entitled Monday Night Music. It features local musicians and singers that are willing to donate their talents to entertain those who come just to listen and enjoy fellowship in a safe and friendly setting. Occasionally we have guest bands and individuals that come and we make special provisions for them. Music starts at 6:30 pm and the Bethesda Bluegrass Boys regularly open the evening with song & community announcements. When we do have a guest band, they normally start at 7:30 pm and play until 8:30 pm. Check the sign out front of the Bethesda Ruritan Club or listen to The PINECONE BLUEGRASS SHOW on WQDR for information of who may be performing at our future events. Our format is "OPEN MIC", and you never know who may get up and sing. We only accept traditional acoustic instruments with an occasional exception for the bass guitar. Any musician who comes is welcome to sit up front and pick along with the other musicians. We have music the 2nd & 4th Monday nights of each month.
