W.E. Rice Scholarship
The Bethesda Ruritans are pleased to offer the Bethesda Ruritan Club - W. E. Rice Scholarship
once again this year. This is the 20th year that our club has been able to offer this scholarship.
The value of the Scholarship totals more than $12,000 over four years. Applicants must be graduating
seniors with a "C" or better grade point average and a desire to attain a college degree. Selection
will consider need, academic achievement, and extracurricular activities including community involvement.
Preferential consideration will be given to applicants who live in the Bethesda community. This does not
preclude anyone from applying, but those who live outside a three-mile radius of the club are asked to
demonstrate connectivity with the Bethesda community through relatives or other involvement within the area.
